The Drew History Project - Spring 2025

Drew's Resources

ARIEL is a club that aims to represent the Latino community, with Johulin Zuluaga, and the club has hosted events such as a Know Your Rights Workshop, in which Red Cards were given to everyone who came to the event. This workshop aimed to provide information regarding what to do if ICE approaches you. The Red Cards given contain information that covers every person's rights in the amendment and can be used if approached by an ICE official. Our group's goal is to conduct more events like these to provide more resources to immigrant students.

DrewFirst is a club that provides events for many first-generation students to help inform and navigate college life. On April 15, Drew First, in association with other clubs, is hosting a Resource Fair that aims to provide resources for students, such as departments that students can connect to and support services meant for everyone. DrewFirst has assisted in other events such as the First Gen Mix & Mingle that occurred on March 26, 2025, in association with Tri-Alpha. By attending events and joining clubs like these, more students will be able to know what resources are available to them.

Color Caucus is a club that holds different meetings of race/ethnicity groups to talk about their rights

First-Gen meetings held by Johulin Zuluaga occur biweekly, and it is an open space for many First-Generation students located in The Space by the EC from 4-5 pm. This also applies to many immigrants who count as first-generation, as they are the first to graduate. The meetings are meant to be an open space for many to come together and share their experiences, whether it's with classes, stress about finals. Students come together and share tips and tricks that help navigate college as well as address worries and insecurities some may have. Our group hopes to continue these conversations and, by doing so, inform many others to come and attend. These conversations help bring the community together and raise awareness in regards to fears that are not only academic but also personal.
