Ebooks: Using Sage Knowledge

This guide describes the many ebook resources available through the University Library and how to access them.

Hosting over 5,100 titles, SAGE Knowledge is home to a prestigious range of eBook and eReference content—including scholarly monographs, reference works, handbooks, series, professional development titles, as well as business cases studies, and streaming video—making this the ultimate social sciences digital library for students, researchers, and faculty.  

You can find Sage Ebooks by searching the Drew Library Catalog , or by searching the Sage site directly. 

Using Sage Knowledge

The SAGE Knowledge platform has many tools to help both simplify and personalize the research process.

Create a profile: 

Creating a profile allows you to save content and searches. Click Profile, located in the top right corner of every page, and select Create a Profile. Fill in the form and click Save.

Once you've created a profile, you may save searches, and retrieve them here: 

 

Add items to "My lists"  or "My searches" from the results page: 

Downloading a chapter:

Click on the chapter title, then download the chapter to PDF

 

NOTE:  You may download the entire book, but it must be done chapter by chapter.

Important information when searching

Some tips for using Sage Knowledge: 

Once you've retrieved results, use the boxes on the right hand side to filter your results by content type (books vs. reference materials) , entire works vs. chapters, or by subject. 

Each result indicates the content type: for example, encyclopedia, handbook or book.

 

You can also search for just books,  reference books or CQ press , or by subject, from the main search page:
