Center for Academic Excellence: Home

The Center for Academic Excellence and the University Writing Center are home to all your academic support needs.

The Center for Academic Excellence & University Writing Center

The Center for Academic Excellence (CAE) and the University Writing Center (UWC) are a CRLA-certified tutoring program. Subject tutoring, academic coaching, and writing support are available at no additional cost for all Drew students. Appointments are available onsite (in person) or online (through WCOnline or Zoom). All sessions are synchronous (i.e., you meet in real-time) and run on EST. Schedule your appointment today at drew.mywconline.com.

The Center for Academic Excellence

The CAE offers subject tutoring for courses across all the CLA majors offered by Drew University. The focus of a CAE session is on the content of the course.

The University Writing Center

The University Writing Center (UWC) offers one-on-one guidance for writing across disciplines at any stage in the writing process to all Drew University students in the College of Liberal Arts, the Caspersen School of Graduate Studies, and the Theological School. Our mission is to support students to ensure their development as readers, critical thinkers, and writers so that they may succeed at Drew and beyond.

Academic Coaching

The CAE and the UWC also offer academic coaching to all students.  Academic coaching helps students cultivate general academic skills such as time management, overcoming procrastination, organization, study skills, etc.

CAE support resources are offered at no extra cost to all Drew students, faculty, and staff.

We take pride in collaborating with faculty, staff, and advisors to help you stay on track and meet your academic goals. We value the reciprocal nature of knowledge and promote respect for the diverse talents, beliefs and backgrounds of members of the Drew community, which is at the core of a true liberal arts education.
