Google Scholar: Advanced Search

In many instances, there will be advantages to using the Advanced Search option.  For example, Advanced Search will allow you to refine your search: to search for a specific author, or for a specific title, or for a specific set of terms, etc. The Advanced Search option can be found by clicking on the Menu icon (3 horizontal bars) in the upper left hand corner of the home page (= Basic Search page):

To access the Advanced Search, click on the Menu icon. A drop down menu will open. When it does, click on the Advanced Search link:

Once you have clicked on the Advanced Search link, the Advanced Search box will open. It looks like this:
