Information about Google Scholar and tips on how to use it

Accessing Google Scholar

If you access Google Scholar directly at https://scholar.google.com/, you should adjust your settings so that Google Scholar knows you are affiliated with Drew University. This will afford you access to subscriber-only content that you would not otherwise have. To do so, follow these steps:

1. On the GS homepage, locate the Menu icon (3 horizontal lines) in the upper left corner as shown here:

2. Click on the Menu icon to open the drop-down menu and locate the "Settings" link:

3. Click on the "Settings" link and navigate to the "Library Links" link:

4. Click on "Library Links" and type Drew into the search box that will open. Then click on the search icon or hit enter:

5. You will see a list of options. Click on the two Drew University options (Drew University - FullText@DrewUniversity and Drew University Library -  ProQuest FullText). Then hit "save." Now you are ready to search Google Scholar.

If you access Google Scholar through the Drew LIbrary site, this will afford you access to subscriber-only content.To access Google Scholar through Drew, follow these steps:

1.From the Library Homepage (https://www.drew.edu/library/), click on the Research Resources link.undefined

 

2. From the Research Resources page, click on the Resources by Title (A-Z List) link

3. When the A-Z List opens, click on the letter "G" as shown.

4. Once you are in the letter "G," click the link for Google Scholar
