Drew Library's Theological Librarian leads regional group

Dear readers,

Let's congratulate Drew Library’s Theological Librarian Dr. Jesse Mann who was recently elected (November 2022) as chairperson of New York Area Theological Library Association (NYATLA), a regional subgroup of American Theological Library Association (ATLA). Officially, the chairperson serves for one-year; however, the term is renewable and there are no term limits.  Jesse’s goals as chairperson include: 1) revising  and updating NYATLA's constitution and bylaws; 2) migrating the association's website to a different platform; 3) and generally reinvigorating the association and perhaps growing its membership.

NYATLA's membership currently consists of approx. 19 member institutions and includes several northern New Jersey-based seminaries, in addition to Drew. Fellow New Jersey NYATLA members include Princeton Theological Seminary, New Brunswick Theological Seminary, and Seton Hall University-Immaculate Conception Seminary. The group usually meets twice per annum, and Jesse hopes they can resume in-person meetings in 2023

Please join Drew Library in congratulating Jesse on his new leadership position. We thank you for your service!
