ARLT 905: Joy of Scholarly Writing: Find Books

There are basically two types of searches:

  • Known item searching - when you know the author or title of a specific book (from a bibliography, a personal recommendation, past knowledge, etc.)
  • Subject searching - when you're looking for material on a particular topic.

Finding Books

There are two different sources to check:

To look for specific books in the Drew Library, select "Advanced Search":

Then select either author or title, and select "left to right":

Search for keywords, and then check the assigned subjects of relevant sources:

The original search had only 9 titles.  But if you then click on the second subject for First World War poetry, you'll find 38 items on poetry of the First World War.
