Solar Eclipse 2024

Safety recommendations for viewing a solar eclipse. Warning: Never look directly at a solar eclipse. Devices for safely viewing a solar eclipse: Filters (Shade number 14 welder's glasses; aluminized mylar filters), Indirect viewing (Pinhole projector: with the sun behind you, position paper or cardboard with a pinhole so that the image of the eclipse is projected onto the viewing surface. Do not use unfiltered binoculars or telescopes, sunglasses, or cell phone cameras to view a solar eclipse.
