Research Guides

Welcome to DSEM!

Welcome, first years! This guide is home to all things DSEM.

Welcome! (...and How To Use this Guide)

Hello, and on behalf of the folks at the library, welcome to Drew!

We've collected the information on these pages with the goal of helping answer questions you might have about navigating the library and academic work in general. For example, there are resources about:

How to Use this Guide

This main guide is dedicated to the Drew Seminar program in general, and is designed to be a resource for students beyond their work in a particular DSEM. Even as the semesters roll by, and the specific courses change, these resources will always be here. So, if you're having a tough time formatting a paper's bibliography two years from now, know that you can return to this page for help. (Of course, you can always, ALWAYS, reach out to one of the librarians!)

Further down this page, you'll find a list of all the DSEM courses offered this term. A link is attached to each course's title, and following that link will take you to a guide built specifically for that course. There you will find resources that were selected because they might be useful for particular subjects (for instance, film studies resources for a film studies seminar), or because they might help with one of your assignments.

Finally (and, if you ask us, most importantly) each DSEM section has a librarian attached to it. Hopefully you'll get to know us over the course of the semester and through your time here at Drew, but for now just know that you can select the librarian assigned to your course and contact us.
