If History is the study of the past (example: the history of the French Revolution), Historiography is the history of the study of the past (Example: what have historians written about the history of the French Revolution?)

As a starting point for your projects, it is helpful to look at what other historians have said about your topic. Adding the word "historiography" to your search will turn up helpful overviews of your field. In the Drew Catalog, try a Subject search for:
