There are a few ways to identify and locate trade publications. Some are freely available online, and some require subscriptions (which Drew may or may not have).
For this exercise I suggest the following:
- Ask a Search Engine or LLM something like, "What are the titles of some Trade Publications for Podcasting?"
- Search the Library catalog for those titles in the Library's Journal Finder
- If the Library has access to the title, through one database or another, a description of what is available (and where) will be returned
- Here is a screenshot of different access options for Variety, a trade publication for the Film Industry:

OR:
- Use ScholarSearch to look for your particular field (eg., "footwear", "sports", "textiles", etc.)
- Select "All Filters", then expand the "Source Types" menu and select "Trade Publications"
- Apply the filter to your results and select an article that sounds relevant
- Select the title of the publication, and then browse away
OR:
- Start at the Library's Journal Finder
- Select "Browse Databases" and scroll down until you've found either "Business Source Elite" or "Small Business Resource"
- From the drop down to the left of the search bar, select "Subject", and then search for keywords related to your targeted field (eg., "footwear", "sports", "textiles", etc.).
