A curated collection of helpful resources for students writing honors theses.

CLA Honors Thesis Guide

This guide includes a range of library resources that will help you with the skills and tools you need to be successful in completing your honors thesis.

Note: Portions of this guide were adapted from, and select resources are linked to a variety of other academic libraries, including Baruch College's Newman Library,  the Claremont Colleges Libraries and others.

Where to get help...

The Library and the Center for Academic Excellence (CAE) can help with aspects of your senior thesis. Contact the Library at email: reference@drew.edu if you need help with your research... be it finding, managing, or organizing!

The CAE's Writing Center offers writing assistance to CLA students through WConline and through writing meet ups. Go HERE to see what meet ups are on the schedule for Fall 2022.

Want one-on-one help? Create an account in WConline (if you do not already have one), and then log in and schedule to meet with a Writing Center student by selecting "Fall 2022 Tutoring" and then "Thesis Writing Undergraduate."

Tune up your Research Skills

For most students, their honors thesis is the most sustained research project of their academic career. This guide is designed for students to spend some time up front to build the research skills necessary for a successful thesis experience. Finding and filling the gaps in your research knowledge will save you time in the long run and help you build a stronger honors thesis.
