SPAN 394: Global Coloniality and Catastrophe: Find Journal Articles

Using Indexes and Search Tools

Start with ScholarSearch, and enter your search terms in Spanish.

Then use both Google Academico and Handbook of Latin American Studies, again searching in Spanish.

If you find articles in HLAS or Google Academico that are not full text, don't despair!  Use ScholarSearch, and search the title of the article (not the title of the journal) to see if Drew has access to it.  If we do not, request it through Interlibrary Loan.

If you find books or reports, check the Drew Library Catalog to see if we own or have access to them.  If you only need a section of a book or report that is only available in hard copy in the Library, request a scan of the chapter through our Request Materials Scan form.  (Check WorldCat to see if a table of contents is available.). We are unable at this time to provide the entire physical book.

If we do not own the resource, request it through Interlibrary Loan.  At this time, other libraries are not loaning entire books, but if there is a section that you need, they may be able to scan and send it.  However, not every library is doing this, so do not rely on the material getting here in time.
