THEA 101: Art of the Play: Home

Message from the Librarian

Dear Students,

If the assignment for this class involves finding both reviews of your play and scholarly articles or book chapters about it, please see the resources below:

For reviews, you may have to consult

  • Magazines
  • Journals in Theatre
  • Newspapers

For scholarly articles, you will probably consult:

  • Performing Arts Index
  • MLA Bibliography
  • ScholarSearch

For books, you would generally consult:

  • the LIbrary Catalog

We do have/suggest resources for finding images with proper representation (It would be embarrassing to use an image saying it was from Macbeth and later find out it was from Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. You'll find both ArtStor and DP.LA on the Images//Video tab, which will be helpful for your presentation.

Remember, you don't have to do this alone-- please stop by the library for assistance!
