EDUC 520: Literacy for All Students in the Elementary Classroom: Home

Message from the Librarian

In the library session for this class, you'll meet two different librarians:

Jennifer Heise, the Drew library liaison for Education, who will show you tools for finding research and practitioner materials in education, specifically related to literacy and literacy issues. My contact information is in the box on the right side of each page of this guide.

I'm available to sit down with you and help you with the research process and accessing materials one-on-one. You can make an appointment to meet with me during regular hours by emailing me ( or calling 973-408-3675.

Madison Public Library Youth Services Coordinator, Emily Weisenstein, who will talk about how your local school and public librarians can be a resource for you, especially in regard to literacy education, and also introduce you to additional resources.
